Richard was born and raised in Milton, is a proud graduate of Milton HS, and has a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from BU. He served on the Milton Police Department for 32 years, dedicating his last 9 years as Police Chief.

Richard has made helping people his core life’s mission and has brought his experience and networking to bear to build consensus, forge partnerships, find hidden resources and achieve impactful benefits for our beloved community. We are living in a time in history where responsive and engaging leadership means working together with all stakeholders to make needed progress while preserving the essence of what makes our community both vibrant and welcoming.

Building relationships and securing resources for Milton are the cornerstones of Richard’s career. Throughout his four decades as a public servant, he has fought to improve the quality of the lives of students, residents, seniors and members of our business community.
He believes we all deserve a vibrant and supportive community in which to live, work, worship, raise a family and thoroughly enjoy our golden years.
